Dr. Andy Nazarechuk is considered one of the world’s foremost authorities on international tourism in the hospitality industry. He has over twenty-five years’ experience in the Las Vegas Hotel/Casino industry. He received both his bachelors and Master of Science degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne, California. He has held senior executive positions at several Las Vegas hotel casinos including the Sahara Hotel/Casino, Boyd Gaming, and the Tropicana Hotel/Casino. In various consulting capacities he has worked on such projects as the opening of the MGM Grand, and casino/hotel training at numerous Las Vegas casinos including Rio Hotel Casino Suites, Luxor, Caesars, and Mandalay Bay among others. Due to his tourism and casino expertise, Dr. Nazarechuk has been involved in numerous Hotel & Casino projects internationally, and in1998-2000 he specifically consulted on tourism & casino projects in France, Egypt, Ukraine, Saipan, Japan, China, and Korea. In the late 1990’s Dr. Nazarechuk completed a consultant research document entitled, "The Development and Operation of a Korean Casino", for a governmental province in Korea. He has been a speaker at several symposiums inKorea focused on "Improving Asian Tourism".
Dr. Andy Nazarechuk was a member of Singapore’s Tourism Consultative Committee providing strategic advice for Singapore’s Tourism 2020 plan. The Singapore Tourism Board presented him with the “Business Event Ambassador ”award at the prestigious Singapore Awards Event. Dr. Nazarechuk was also involved with the opening of the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Dr. Andy Nazarechuk, Past President of APacCHRIE (Asia’s largest Hospitality Educators Association), is a leader in both the academic and the professional worlds of hospitality development. He serves or has served on several prestigious committees, including the United Nations World Tourism Panel of Tourism Experts, the Singapore Workforce Development Agency Tourism Industry Skills & Training Council, and the International Advisory Board for Singapore Pools.
He is an internationally renowned speaker, facilitating workshops, teaching courses, and addressing conferences and conventions for hotel professionals and academics on topics including strategic planning, customer service quality, human resource motivation, education, and hospitality management. He has also recently co-authored a series of five articles on the development of Integrated Resorts in Japan.
In 2016, Dr. Andy Nazarechuk successfully completed his position at Taylors University as Senior VP of International Relations for Taylor’s University. Dr. Nazarechuk is currently an auditor for the International Center of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education(THE-ICE)
