Dr. Sheila Marie G. Hocson is the President of Philippine Guidance and Counseling Association (PGCA) which is the premier and Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) accredited and integrated professional organization for counselors in the Philippines. She is also the branch leader and Mentor for the American Counseling Association. Moreover, she is a part of the PRC Continuing Professional Development Council, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Quality Assessor and part of the Technical Working Group for Student Affairs and Services, guidance director, accreditor, consultant, author, curriculum developer, educator, trainer, researcher, radio host, and staunch advocate for anti-bullying, career development, mental health, family, marriage, life, and child protection. Currently, she's the Guidance Director of Far Eastern University (FEU) Manila and Makati branches that oversees the management of the different wellbeing programs and services of the FEU-Guidance& Counseling Office. As a consultant and educator, she's currently the consultant of Child Fam Possibilities Psychological Solutions, Presidential Staff Management of Malacanang, REX Publication, Project Inclusion, Unilab Foundation and Magna Anima. She also authored the My Career Journey Book Series and Wonderful Jungle Stories at the Rex Publication, No to Bullying Handbook under Pedia pharma Foundation, Remote Play Psychosocial Support, Playbook and Resilience Toolkit and RACE Against Suicide Manual and Massive Open Online Course for DepEd and Unilab Foundation. Moreover, she's a research peer reviewer for Elsevier, Routledge and Manuscript Central. She was a radio host at the ABS CBN DZMM Teleradyo show "Juander Titser" and digital content maker of Social Emotional Learning and Character Strengths weekly videos in the said show.
